T-Touch Expert review3
I bought my Tissot T-touch expert after much research. I was after a rugged, masculine looking piece with both digital and analogue display. I had looked at various watches, from military designs to generic, and just kept finding myself coming back to the Tissot T-touch. My curiosity got the better of me and I opted for the t-touch as not only did it do everything I wanted it also included all the many other features I know you know about already. So I got it. Having had the watch for a few months now I must say the satisfaction level is still present. Holding down the center button to activate the touch crystal and then selecting the various functions and watching the hands wiz around always brings a smile. You will find yourself playing with this more often then not. The watch is quite handsome, and I like that it appears understated (well, when considering all the many functions it performs anyway!). Much thought has gone into the design of this watch, looking closely at the rear screws that hold the back plate in place, Tissot have even made the screw grooves line up symmetrically on an angle. Its a tiny little thing but it goes to show they take pride in the detail. Having mentioned the good points, I now consider some of what I believe are the bad. The watch is chunky. Yes that is what I was after, but it sits quite high on the wrist and its understated design kind of works against itself here as you get people asking, ‘why is it so thick!?’. Of course then you start up the touch crystal and become the highlight geek of the party… but it is a thick watch. Accessing some of the functions although intuitive thanks to the touch dial, can be tedious. Setting a count-down timer for example, you have to hold the + or – buttons in to count up or down, slowly at first then more quickly as you wait. A shame if you are needing to set it quickly. The titanium band for some reason makes me itch occasionally. Might be just me, but I have read that titanium can irritate the skin. The buckle, although pretty, comes undone often. There are two little spring loaded clips that one must pinch together in order to release the clasp. If you hold one in it doesn’t open, a sort of fail safe. However if you bend your wrist too far your skin can pinch both clips and your watch suddenly releases itself! I have found this to happen often when wearing the watch under thicker clothing as well. Well anyway there you have it. There are a few drawbacks with this watch, enough for me to say it is a very irritating piece at times, but it is what it is. Personally I think of it as a toy, a bit of fun. But it is very well made and will always give you a sense of satisfaction.

Tissot T touch expert t013.420.44.202.005
As a fanatic in hand watches, i used to collect a lot of them. Passing by Casio, Calvin Klein, Victorinox, Longines, Guess, etc…
3 years ago i got lucky of having the old T touch on my birthday, a gift given me by my sister… Although it was (and still a great watch) it had one big downside… You can never use it under water, which is funny for a 30 m dive watch that you can’t even shower with!
The specs were enough by then. 2 months ago i got the Tissot T touch expert just for the fact that they resolved the water resistance issue, its appearance was attractive, tried it in camping, biking, scuba diving. For your long trips you will be able to enjoy the watch for the following facts:
1-I can guaranty you that the Azimuth is of a lot of help, you wouldn’t need to keep track of where the bezels were from before at the beginning of your trip.
2-You will be able to determine the real altitude after that they were able to fix some filters between the pressure and the altitude.
3-The Barometer is improved as for new relative and absolute pressure for weather were added to the watch.
4-The LCD backlight is very useful at night (which wasn’t yet added to the old Tissot).
5-You can keep track of 2 timings in your travels, keeping the time from back home and leaving the other option to your new location.
6-It also has a new feature which will allow you to keep track of 2 alarms, instead of adjusting your usual daily alarm you’ll be able to add a new one for your non permanent use.
7-The chronograph has been updated too by adding the counter-count (backward).
8-The thermometer has a small downside, is that you will have to take off the watch for 10 min to get the real temperature.
As you can see its a great product, the watch is perfectly sized for its use… Chunky but fit and relevant to its usage, it’s a matter of taste.
You will be very happy of buying this watch.

Titanium Tissot T-Touch Expert5
Absolutely outstanding watch! Unbelievably light, packed with useful features for an active enthusiast. Functions flawlessly, the altitude tracking feature is remarkably accurate if you stop it when resting. Large face makes it easy to read in the dark and LED backlight is particularly useful when you’ve been out of the light for extended periods. Honestly Tissot did an excellent job on this watch the only thing I miss is a second hand but the digital display more than compensates (including the seconds in the displayed time)

Customer Reviews:

Great Value. Easy to use!5
I’m giving this baby 5 stars for doing so much, so well, for so little $$$. I really like the light button on the top (much easier to access while driving) compared to the li’l button on the side of most Casios. The digits light up without lighting up the whole watch (nice in a darkened theater). It is super simple to use and doesn’t look like some kind of space kid’s watch or Rambo-wannabe watch. I lost my first one, so I’m back to Amazon for number 2. I might even pick up a spare since products these days seem to change so rapidly (and not always for the better). The previous reviewer dissed this fine watch because it was not large enough. Man, I love this watch because it isn’t too big. So many of the Mens sport watches these days seem to be a obnoxious cross between a hockey puck and a bar of soap with a wrist strap. It’s a time piece. I don’t need to call attention to myself with its ginormousness, nor do I want to be banging it on all manner of obstructions due to its bloated proportions. Bravo to Casio for getting this one right. Great watch for a great price!

Good all-around watch4
This black plastic and resin watch is a good, inexpensive, fairly durable, everyday-type watch. Not too gawdy. Not too many weird functions, just very practical.

Its multi-functions, like the dual stop watches, are not only good for sports acivities, but come in handy for everyday use. It also has all of the regular watch functions of dates, alarms, lighted dial, dual times, etc., that you can use for your daily activties from work to recreation to timing steaks on the BBQ, to even telling time very accurately.

This watch is low profiled and not bulky like some gimicky watches and does not get in the way of work or sport activities. It is waterproof enough to do the dishes, wash the car or water ski. It is durable enough to last a couple years, but is inexpensive enough not to have to “baby” it so you can afford to replace it if something does happen by accident before it eventually wears out due to use.

I accidentally knocked my first Casio #93H-1AV off a second-floor shelf down onto the first-floor tile below and broke its case after two-and-a-half years of working perfectly through all of my strenuous work/sports activities.

I bought TWO this time and put one away in a safe place, just in case they discontinue this model down the road — I don’t want to have to settle for another type later on if I need another!

Great Watch for the Price5
Great watch for the price. Includes all the basic functions I use — clock, stop watch, alarm, and timer. Excellent for running — not too bulky. Illuminator makes easy night time viewing. Used to buy the more expensive timex ironman watches but found I never used all the features.

Amazon.com Product Description
A durable daily watch perfect for timing laps around the track or quarters during a pickup game, the men’s Casio Multifunction Sport watch features a resin case and bezel, a strong polyurethane band, and a mineral dial window. The watch’s gray digital display includes day and date calendars in the upper corners, as well as a quartz-movement-powered time display to the second. In addition, it is water resistant to 165 feet.

The Casio Story
With the launch of its first watch in November 1974, Casio entered the wristwatch market at a time when the watch industry had just discovered digital technology. As a company with cutting-edge electronic technology developed for pocket calculators, Casio entered this field confident that it could develop timepieces that would lead the market.

In developing its own wristwatches Casio began with the basic question, “What is a wristwatch?” Rather than simply making a digital version of the conventional mechanical watch, we thought that the ideal wristwatch should be something that shows all facets of time in a consistent way. Based on this, Casio was able to create a watch that displayed the precise time including the second, minute, hour, day, and month — not to mention a.m. or p.m., and the day of the week. It was the first watch in the world with a digital automatic calendar function that eliminated the need to reset the calendar due the variation in month length. Rather than using a conventional watch face and hands, a digital liquid crystal display was adopted to better show all the information. This culminated in the 1974 launch of the CASIOTRON, the world’s first digital watch with automatic calendar. The CASIOTRON won acclaim as a groundbreaking product that represented a complete departure from the conventional wristwatch.

Casio transformed the concept of the watch — from a mere timepiece to an information device for the wrist — and undertook product planning based on this innovative idea. We developed not only time functions such as global time zone watches, but also other radical new functions using Casio’s own digital technology, including calculator and dictionary functions, as well as a phonebook feature based on memory technology, and even a thermometer function using a built-in sensor. The memory-function watches became our DATA BANK product series, while the sensor watches developed into two unique Casio product lines of today: the Pathfinder series displaying altitude, atmospheric pressure, and compass readings.

In 1983, Casio launched the shock-resistant G-SHOCK watch. This product shattered the notion that a watch is a fragile piece of jewelry that needs to be handled with care, and was the result of Casio engineers taking on the challenge of creating the world’s toughest watch. Using a triple-protection design for the parts, module, and case, the G-SHOCK offered a radical new type of watch that was unaffected by strong impacts or shaking. Its practicality was immediately recognized, and its unique look, which embodied its functionality, became wildly popular, resulting in explosive sales in the early 1990s. The G-SHOCK soon adopted various new sensors, solar-powered radio-controlled technology (described below), and new materials for even better durability. By always employing the latest technology, and continuing to transcend conventional thinking about the watch, the G-SHOCK brand has become Casio’s flagship timepiece product.

Today, Casio is focusing its efforts on solar-powered radio-controlled watches: the built-in solar battery eliminates the nuisance of replacing batteries, and the radio-controlled function means users never have to reset the time. In particular, the radio-controlled function represents a revolution in time-keeping technology similar to the impact created when mechanical watches gave way to quartz technology. Through the further development of high radio-wave sensitivity, miniaturization, and improved energy efficiency, Casio continues to produce a whole range of radio-controlled models.

Customer Reviews:

Complicated, NO blue backlight (Illuminator)3
I was just looking for a simple sports watch with both a stopwatch and countdown timer, but this had a lot more than I expected (or needed). It has some timer features particularly for referees, which you may or may not find a use for. While all the features are easy enough to learn, having six modes means a lot of button presses (up to 6) to get back to the main mode. Fortunately, the main mode has a different beep sound, so you can keep pressing it quickly without looking until you hear it. It does what I need though with some complexity. Perhaps I will come to use the other features as well.

Looks: Nice; a bit thick for my taste (about 1/2″; spec says .58″), but it seems a lot of men’s sports watches are like that these days
- The main picture shown above is misleading – there is NO blue backlight, but a cheapish orange LED that emits from left side over a dull gray background. The word “Illuminator” inscribed at the top of the watch is also misleading. Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t that supposed to be Casio’s blue backlight technology? Maybe this watch used to have it, but not now. The LED works fine but does not look as nice
- Lens is not recessed so it is easy to scratch

Battery: 10-yr spec assumes use of any feature only once/week (a joke?)

Manual: Hard to read as it is very small and thick
- Get the free 3-page PDF manual which has all the info but is much easier to read, at the watch manual section of the casio site (enter 3100 for Module No.)

Stopwatch: I did not like it; it seems specialized for things like soccer
- Two counts displayed
- The Main count shows 100ths of sec but cannot be stopped at all (kind of useless). It can be set to beep after a specified elapsed time (like end of soccer regulation)
- The small count in corner (harder to read) acts like a standard stopwatch. No splits; just start, stop. It does not show 100ths of sec. In soccer, can use to count stoppage time

Preset countdown timer: Can choose from these times(min): 10,12,20,15,20,25,30,35,40,45
- Auto-repeat feature: If enabled, counts the number repeats (up to 99). If disabled, it just counts up after it hits zero and sounds the alarm, like most countdown timers do
- I like that the current time is in the corner so I don’t have to switch modes to find out

Interval Countdown timer: You can use this as a regular countdown timer settable from 1 to 59 min, though I wish it could be set higher. There are also 8 additional timers which you can set individually. The watch will detect which timers are set and run them sequentially. You could use this for interval training or game timing. Auto-repeat can be set for the whole sequence.

World Clock: You can have this display the time in practically any other time zone. 3-letter codes for cities, and DST can be set separately for each

Alarm: Standard features, hourly chime

Other: Button beeps can be turned off

Overall: A decent watch, especially for the price. It’s growing on me, I think.

Great Referee Watch!5
I work as a football referee for youth through high school, and this watch has served me great when we need to keep time on the field. It has a set of pre-programmed count down timers that work great for field timing. Or, it has a feature where you can program in a custom time interval. So in the case of games, you can set up a time interval for each quarter, half-time, etc. Or, if your using it for a work out, you can program the intervals for wind sprints, 1 minute sprint, 30 second walk, etc.

One of the complaints I noticed in the other posts was with regard to the backlight. It’s true it’s not the indeglow (sp?) backlighting, it’s just two LEDs on the right half of the face, however I have found it still easy to read using the backlight in a low light environment.

I would say this is an excellent buy for the money, and would highly recommend it to a referee or as a general workout timing watch.

I do not recommend this seller1
I was felt cheated. the watch announces “iluminator” really has a simple light. misleading advertising. I do not recommend this seller

Amazon.com Product Description
Ideal for any athlete, Casio’s Digital Sport watch features built-in referee timers that track total event time and nine countdown timers for interval training. A digital time display over a gray dial allows time telling at a glance and it also has a day, date, and month calendar to keep you on track. Powered by digital-quartz movement, the 40.6-millimeter case is water resistant to a depth of 330 feet and is protected by a mineral dial window.

Customer Reviews:

Should be More Expensive5
I am very impressed with Invicta style and quality. They offer well-made watches at a very competitive price. I own seven Invicta watches and love each of them. They have the look and feel of a much more expensive watch.

This particular model looks almost identical to a Rolex Submariner. It is an automatic watch (if you don’t wear it for around 24 hours or move around enough, the time must be reset) with 21 jewel Japanese movement and has a see through back that lets you view the automatic movement. The watch has a large 43mm face and it has Mercedes style hands and Tritnite luminescence markings with a magnified date marker. It is water resistant to 200 meters (just in case any of you will go down that far).

The one pictured above has an oyster-like bezel (Omega style). The older (Series 1 or S1) model of the 8926 have a coin edge bezel like the Rolex Submariner. The bezel rotates. Invicta makes really attractive bands that have a nice weight. The stainless steel silver band and black face combination is very sharp and will never go out of style. I have an 8.5″ wrist and the watch accommodates my wrist with room to spare. They come in the trademark yellow Invicta box with an Invicta pillow.

The 9937 is an upgraded model of this watch that offers 25 jewel Swiss movement instead of the Japanese 21 jewel movement, a sapphire crystal, an improved stainless steel band (even though the one on the 8926 is great), solid end pieces, a better magnifier over the date, a flip lock safety clasp and a large rosewood box instead of the yellow box that comes with this 8926.

Best Diver Watch Value5
Invicta’s 8926 is the dive watch that started it all – the watch that kept Invicta from going out of business – like other Swiss watch making firms did as Oriental made quartz watches flooded the shelves of retailers worldwide in the 1980′s! For an overall look rivaling the Rolex Submariner at 1/15 the cost, Invicta provides a $100 automatic diver with stainless steel bracelet unrivaled in quality and performance. Let’s take a tour of this diving watch and note the value and style of the timepiece:

Movement

The Citizen Miyota 21 jewel movement rivals Swiss automatic movements for a fraction of the price. If it has any weakness – it is in the small power reserve – losing it’s mainspring energy with less than one day off the wrist. IF not worn everyday- it should be put on a programmable watch winder or manually wound. The second hand will not “hack” with this movement. A date (complication) window shows at the 3 o’clock position. It must be manually adjusted every February and other 30 day months.

Case

The 43mm (with crown) 316L brushed stainless steel case wears comfortably on the wrist. The case lugs are modestly curved to accomodate wrists of all sizes. The new model (larger screw down crown)l ooks elegent as it gracefully projects from the case with a scuplted crown protector.

The black dive bezel – unidirectional 120 clicks around – is scalloped like the Omega Seamaster and is a departure from older model 8926′s which flaunted a Rolex like “coin edge” bezel. Under pressure from Rolex it was changed by Invicta two years ago. The black enamel bezel is very scratch resistant – the numbers clear and bold.

The Mineral Glass crystal is scratch resistant – but not nearly as much as a more desirable sapphire watch face (imprinted only by diamond) which could triple the cost of the watch. Mineral glass is less prone to chipping or shattering than a sapphire crystal. The display watchback is also mineral glass – displaying the undecorated Miyota automatic movement. Mineral glass backs are less likely to cause skin irritation than a stainless steel backed case.

A date magnifier (Cyclops) at the 3 o’clock position carries on the Submariner theme. The watch hands contrast wonderfully with the Invicta black dial. The LUME off the watch hands and number positions is modest – both in brightness and longevity as compared to more expensive dive watches. A “winged” Invicta symbol decorates the counter – balanced side of the second hand. An elegent “INVICTA” product name is embossed on the left side of the case. The watch is rated as a Professional Diver 200M (660 feet) water resistant.

Bracelet

The comfortable stainess steel pinned link bracelet is worth the price of the watch. Solid end links, rounded flexible brushed steel wrist links set off the polished stainless steel center links – all made to look like the Rolex Oyster bracelet. The bracelet’s center links are the only part of the watch prone to scratching. The foldover adjustable double safety clasp uses pins as well. There is no wetsuit deployment clasp as found in more expensive watches.

CONCLUSION

Rated 5 Stars because of value and features, the Invicta 89XX series of Professional Dive Watches has kept the company in the forefront of automatic movement watch manufacturers. No one can touch Invicta in the $100 area Pro-diver price range. Fit, finish, design, value and quality cannot be beat. This IS the leader in its class. Those desiring a Swiss made watch with Sapphire crystal and heftier bracelet should first look at the Invicta 9937 for about threetimes the price.

Excellent First Watch!5
The Invicta 8926 is typically considered an entry level watch, or a “beater” alternative to other more expensive watches in your collection to be worn for everyday tasks. It typically ranks as one of the best selling watches, and provides a nice foray into automatic watches. [...]

First Impression:

When the box arrived from Amazon, I was pleasantly greeted by Invicta’s signature cheese-yellow box. The watch was delicately wrapped, and packed well in the case. Invicta’s instruction manual was thorough, and read like it was written by someone that speaks English as a first language. The included warranty card and polishing cloth were also nice touched. I have a small wrist, so when I first put it on, it hung very loose off of my arm. The weight was also unexpected for a watch at this price point. It felt very substantial. After a few minutes, I headed out to the local jeweler to have things sized for daily wear.

Cost:

Typically found below [...] is an excellent value. there are not many other watches that have an automatic movement and look like a watch that costs 10 times as much. Total shipped, sized, and on my wrist was just over $105. That’s unreal! At that price point, if it takes a hit while washing the car or doing yard work, I won’t shed any tears.

Case:

At 43mm, the 8926 is not a small watch. It’s an excellent compromise between a HUGE diver, and a smaller dress quartz. I’ve worn it to the office, business meetings, and around town, and it’s been comfortable in all situations. The size of the face in comparison to the bezel is pleasing, and of a fair proportion. One of my objections to the watch is the large engraved “Invicta” on the left side of the case. I’m proud to wear an Invicta, but the size and placement of the branding is a bit overwhelming, and breaks up the elegance of the case.

Bezel:

The unidirectional rotating bezel was quite a surprise. While not as smooth as the Seiko or other high end watches, for $100 the bezel gets the job done. The black silhouettes the face perfectly, and the white marks are easy to read. It turns well, and locks into every number well, while being aligned perfectly with 12 o’clock. I’ve found myself using the bezel to time everyday tasks, like waiting for food at a restaurant, and sitting on a conference call. Why not right?

Bracelet:

The standard Invicta bracelet is just amazing on this watch. The weight is so substantial, and it fits extremely well. The diver buckle is fairly easy to operate, though I imagine if you were actually diving with this watch, it may be a bit of a challenge. The inner link on the watch is highly polished, and immediately started to show sign of desk wear. I imagine that over the lifetime of the watch, the links would start to show some serious wear. The watch was also easy to re size. Due to my poor dexterity, I prefer to have a jeweler re size my watches. He had everything completed in less than 2 minutes, and also complimented the watch.

Movement:

Sporting the Miyota 21 jewel automatic workhorse, I’ve been impressed with the accuracy of the watch. I tested the power reserve at 36 hours, and it was still going strong. In terms of accuracy, it’s tough to gage without “hacking” while setting the time. Over the last month, it’s ran about a minute fast, which is not surprising given my daily wear, and my impatience in letting the movement settle. Only time will tell (mwahaha) if accuracy is a problem in the long run.

The trinite hands glow fairly well for about 2-3 hours, then become hard to read. I hit the face with my Maglite before going to sleep, and about 7 hours later, the glow was faint but adequately visible to read if necessary. It would most likely pass the theatre test, but it’s a far cry from a high end watch. The hands are quite beautiful, and easy to read against the black face. the addition of the Mercedes style hand was also a nice touch. The cyclops is good, but not great, and is certainly not a Rolex. It’s adequate to read the date, but nothing that will make people stop and say “WOW”. Finally, the mineral crystal is also great for this pricepoint, but only adequate for the look and feel of this watch. Mine has yet to show any scratches, and I’ve been polishing ti regularly to try and reveal a hidden one. That being said, I plan on wearing this as my “beater” watch, so a scratch is not really a concern. In fact, the last sapphire crystal face I had cracked from a tough hit, so I’d rather have a few small scratches over a broken face.

Conclusion:

I would be shocked to find a better watch for under $100. Say what you will about Invicta, but for the money, the 8926 is one of the best values ever in terms of an automatic watch. I receive daily compliments on this piece, something I cannot say about my higher end pieces. To the untrained eye, most people thing you are wearing a $1,000 + watch. Despite the flaws with the 8926 (which are well documented), I’m still terrifically impressed with this watch. It’s a great entry into a “real” automatic watch from a department store quartz, and is a good introduction into the beauty of a living timepiece.

watch batteries5
Ordered these and they came really quick. Was impressed with the price and the free shipping. I will definately look here again when I need to reorder.

Button Battery strip2
I got these promptly, very good price they come in the strip just as shown. my only issue is that it seems at least 2 were old or bad. I had 2 which just had no juice and i had to replace. still, the price still makes it a value. It is subjective and i dont like to pan a product on one visit. It is subjective and i have no way to test the batteries when they come in, only how they perform after i make the change. these are for my watch and after installation of the first one, the indiglo light was so weak i had to replace it and i put the old one back in to tell if it was the watch and the old one lit the light a bit better. i put in the second new one and it is ok and has been in a couple of weeks. they should last a year, or the ones i had gotten in the store last from a year to 2 years in this particular type of watch. the first 2 of this batch one was immediately no good and the second lasted about 3 weeks before i noticed it was not able to light the dial in the dark-could have been like that longer -i didnt think to look before 3 weeks. i am on the third of 5 and it is still good at night.
I had gotten another number cr2032 maybe and they were all good. maybe this was just an anomaly.

Good deal4
They work fine in my gadgets, and the price can’t be beat.

Having extras around is nice too.

Great Looking Watch!!5
This is definitely one of the nicest watches I own. When I received the watch in the mail I was amazed at the beauty of the watch. With the deep blue face and stunning band you will definitely be happy with your purchase.

The watch is a heavy watch and not for one with a small wrist. The band has both high polished and brushed stainless steel which makes it look very nice indeed. The push-button clasp with safety makes the watch fit securely on your wrist.

All I can say is that Bulova has done a good job in engineering this one. I own more than 30 watches and this is definitely one of my best ones and one that I wear the most.

As always, Amazon is a fast shipper and I got the watch in record time.

Great looks, great quality5
Pros:
*Accurate. Haven’t had to adjust it since I set it 6 months ago.
*Excellent quality. At this price, the quality and finish are very good. Haven’t really tested the water resistance.
*Black Ion Finish. I am really surprised at how well the black ion finish has held up after 6 months. I thought for sure it would be really dinged and scratch up by now. Rubbing against metal doors and desk, it’s held up well. You can see the dings up close, but the black finish is still intact. Haven’t yet tested concrete, as I’m sure it would get gouged, but hopefully I won’t have to.

Cons:
*Chronograph fun to watch, but don’t use much
*No perpetual calendar

Overall, I’m very happy with the watch, and am surprised at how well the black finish as held up. Great looking timepiece.

Outstanding value!4
Love this watch! It’s accurate to the second. I set it to the atomic clock two weeks ago and it’s still bang on the mark. Other nice features include great Seiko lume and a highly legible face, so it’s easy to read in the dark or daylight. The chrono feature has a split feature that enables you to time the difference between two events. This is a high value watch for the money. I’d give it five stars if not for two things: the stock strap is pretty flimsy and looks crummy (but that’s easily fixed), and the chrono only counts up to 12 hours (could have easily been 24 hours).
